Caryl Poetsch Bailey, age 75, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Englewood she has resided in Sayreville most of her life. Caryl was employed as a secretary for Monmouth/Ocean Educational Service Commission in Tinton Falls since 2004 and part time for East Brunswick Board of Education in their Adult Education Services.

Caryl was a talented craft maker specializing in Quilting. She was an Avid Yankee Fan and enjoyed spending time watching her grandchildren participating in many sporting events.

She is predeceased by her first husband Paul C. Poetsch in 1968 and her second husband Arthur F. Bailey in 1979 also her parents Arno & Gerda Winzerling. Surviving are her children and their spouses Scott & Marianne Poetsch of Sayreville and Janet & Steven Marcinczyk of South River, her grandchildren Brian Marcinczyk and his wife Lauren, Kelly Marcinczyk, Kristina Poetsch, Mary Marcinczyk and Kyle Poetsch, her brother & sister in law Robert & Judy Poetsch of Delaware, her nephew and nieces Robert & Deborah Poetsch and Robyn Poetsch and her step son Bernard Bailey of Sayreville.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 9:30am from the Maliszewski Funeral Home 218 Whitehead Avenue South River followed by a 10am mass at Corpus Christi R. C. Church in South River with burial to follow at Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Friday from 4pm to 8pm. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Sayreville P.B.A. Local 98 P.O.
