Obituary for Karen El-Bardisy (Riedemann)
Karen El-Bardisy, age 81, passed away Tuesday March 27, 2018, at her home in Hood River, Oregon. Born in Leipzig, Germany to the late Gerd & Anneliese Riedemann she had resided in Elizabeth, Rahway and Flemington before moving to Oregon 1 year ago. Before her retirement she was the co-owner with her husband of Winfield Deli in Elizabeth for 10 years.
As well as her parents she is predeceased by her husband Nabil El-Bardisy. Surviving are her children and their spouses Abbas & Coleen El-Bardisy, Nadia & Edwin Laubach and Camilia & Thomas Richardson, her grandchildren Abbas Jr., Joseph, Edwin, Layla, Amira, Anneliese and Reid, her stepmother Helga Riedemann, her brother Bernd Reidemann and her sisters Ellen Pfeffer and Kirsten Petereit.
Funeral services will be held Saturday March 31, 2018 at 10:30am at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin with burial to follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery, Kenilworth, N.J.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Saturday from 9am to 10:30am.
