Henry M. Wortley, age 62 of Sayreville passed away Thursday April 5, 2018 with his loving family at his side. Born in South Amboy he had resided in Sayreville since 1984. Henry proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp and was a member of Sayreville American Legion Post 211. Before his retirement in 2011 he was employed for 25 years as a patrolman for the Borough of Sayreville Police Department and was a member of Sayreville PBA local 98.

He is predeceased by his parents Chester & Madeline Wortley and his sister Nancy Murray. Surviving is his wife of 33 years Cindy Rudy Wortley, his children Henry Wortley and Joleen Wortley of Myrtle Beach SC, his siblings Chester Wortley, Thomas Wortley and Lois Wortley.

Funeral services will be held Sunday 5pm at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin with private cremation to follow.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Sunday from 2pm to 6pm. Members of Sayreville American Legion and Sayreville PBA 98 will hold services on Sunday during calling hours.
