Joseph Potoski, age 79 of Old Bridge, passed away peacefully at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Manhattan, NY, he had lived in the Parlin section of Sayreville for many years before moving to Old Bridge in 2015. Before his retirement, Joe worked as a bus operator for MTA in Manhattan. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and a life member of the Sampson Air Force Base Vets Association. He was also a 4th Degree member of the OLV Knights of Columbus 2061, the Sayreville VFW Post 4699 and a Past Governor of the Perth Amboy Moose Lodge 1360. Joe was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville.
He is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Theresa Potoski and his sisters, Terry Potoski and Patricia Faithfull.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, the former Julia Maguire, his son Joseph Potoski Jr, his daughter Lisa Fedor and her husband Steve, his granddaughters Julia and Emily Fedor and his sister, Carol Pieve.
Funeral services will be Tuesday 9am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin NJ followed by a 9:30am funeral mass at Our Lady of Victories RC Church. Burial will take place at the NJ VA Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Monday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Our Lady of Victories Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul 36 Main St, Sayreville, NJ.
