Robert E. Castellano age 66 formally of Sayreville and Lakewood passed away peacefully on Friday September 28, 2018 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune with his loving and devoted family at his side. Born in South Amboy he had resided in Sayreville moving to Lakewood where he resided for 15 years before moving to Barnegat 2 years ago. Before his retirement in 2006 he was employed as the Business Agent for Local 701 International Brotherhood of teamsters in North Brunswick where he worked for 5 years. Prior to that, he worked for Glaxo Smith Kline, in Piscataway for 35 years.

Robert was very active with the Knights of Columbus serving as State Program Director, was a member and past Grand Knight of Sayreville K of C Council 2061 and their Forth Degree Assembly. He was a member and past president for 7 years of Saint Vincent DePaul in Lakewood and was presently a fund raiser for Children of the Dumps in Mexico. Bobby proudly served his country in the Army National Guard for 7 years being discharged as a Staff Sergeant and was an exempt member of Morgan Hose & Chemical Company. A longtime communicant of Our Lady of Victories R. C. Church he presently was a communicant of Saint Mary’s R. C. Church in Barnegat where he was a Eucharist Minister.

He is predeceased by his parents Frank & Grace Castellano and his brother and sister in law Frank & Mary Ann Castellano Jr. Surviving are his loving wife and soul mate of 48 years Kristine Hlivka Castellano, his children and their spouses Dawn & Jim Kinsel of Glendale, California and Robert & Aimee Castellano of New Hope, Pennsylvania, his grandchildren Julia Grace, Ava Kristine, Jesse Robert and Hailey Capri and his siblings and their spouses Sally & Bill Maher and Joseph & Maureen Castellano all of Parlin and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 8:45am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin followed by a 9:30am mass at Our Lady of Victories R. C. Church in Sayreville with burial to follow at Saint Martin of Tours Cemetery, New Hope, Pennsylvania.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Monday from 6pm to 9pm. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations in Roberts name be made to Saint Vincent De Paul Lakewood, N.J.
