Martha A. Hartle nee McKeon, age 100, formerly of Sayreville, peacefully passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Brightview Assisted Living in Rockville, MD with her loving family at her side. Born and raised in Sayreville, Martha was a lifelong resident of the borough before moving closer to her daughter in MD over 3 years ago. Before her retirement Mrs. Hartle worked as an office manager with Hartle Instruments in Sayreville as well as working for DuPont Film for many years. Martha was very active in her community as the Chairperson for the Commission on Aging, a member of the Human Relations Commission, Troop Leader for the Sayreville Girl Scouts, as well as a Board Member for the Raritan Valley Girl Scouts. She also proudly went back to college in her mid-50s and was declared Sayreville Senior Citizen of the Year in 2000. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Martha is predeceased by her beloved husband of 43 years Norman Hartle, parents John & Ruth McKeon, and brother Francis McKeon. Surviving is her loving daughter & her husband Patricia & Michael C. Salapka of MD; adoring granddaughter Michelle Ruth & husband Bryan Hiltner of OR; 2 beautiful great-granddaughters Ingrid Mickey & Marlene Patricia; goddaughter Sharon Fallon of Farmingdale; the McKeon, Fallon, and Jennings families; the family of Stanley Zaleski; as well as many longtime, loving friends.

Funeral services will be held 9am Thursday from the Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main Street, Sayreville with a 9:30am Mass at Our Lady of Victories RC Church. Burial will follow at New Calvary Cemetery in Parlin.
