Nicholas “Nick” Borruso, age 88 of the Parlin section of Sayreville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at St. Peter’s Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Nick has resided in Parlin with his loving family for the past 54 years. After graduating from NYCCC in 1956, he proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was self employed in many businesses during his lifetime and until his retirement, was the owner and operator of 5 Meineke service centers in New Jersey. Nick had a huge sense of humor and an even bigger heart and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Nick is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Marie Borruso (Bilella) of Parlin; his loving children and their spouses Mike & Lisa of Sayreville, Paul & Janet of Manalapan, and Peter of Sayreville; his daughter-in-law Vivian Borruso of Sayreville; 6 wonderful grandchildren Nicholas (Maegen), Michael (Laura), Gina, Max, Christine, and Kimberly; and 2 beautiful great-grandchildren Nicholas, Jr. and Dominick.

A Catholic mass will take place on Tuesday at 10:30am at St. Bernadette’s R. C. Church in Parlin with burial to follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Nick’s name to the charity of your choice.
