Obituary for Theresa Farkas
Theresa Farkas age 89 of Boynton Beach, FL passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at her home with her loving family at her side. She was born on June 24, 1929 in South River and resided in New Jersey for over 84 years before moving to Florida with her husband John in 2013. Theresa was a lifelong member of the St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church in South River and a member of the St. Mary’s Holy Altar Rosary Society.
Theresa is predeceased by John Farkas, her husband of 66 years and her daughter Eileen (Farkas) Bara, her parents George (Wojciech) Golaszewski and Aniela Mary Czernikowski, her brothers Joseph and John Golaszewski and sisters Josephine Fitzke and Pearl Kadubic. She is survived by her son Joseph Farkas and daughter in-law Brenda of Florida, son-in-law Robert Donald Bara of Monroe, her grandchildren Lieutenant Commander Megan (Farkas) Piotrowski and her husband Lieutenant Commander David Piotrowski, Lieutenant Christopher Farkas and his wife Jennifer, Wendy (Bara) Cutler and her husband Larry, Donald Bara, Cheryl (Bara) Della Valle and her husband Michael, and three great- grandchildren.
Calling hours at Maliszewski Funeral Home 218 Whitehead Avenue, South River will be held Thursday December 20, 2018 from 8:30am to 10:30am. A Funeral Mass is being offered 11am at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.
