My condolences to Nan Szarejko Lukie's family. I graduated from St. Mary's High School with Nan and am saddened to hear of her passing. Knowing she is with the Lord and smiling down on her family and beloved pets, I am sure brings some comfort. RIP Nan. Arleen Rooney Class of 1961 SMHS

In the late 1940's and early 1950's Nan and I (Bill Subjack) lived next door to each other in South Amboy, NJ, both our homes having been in the family for a half-century. Nan was my senior by a year and we were both barely of school age. We regularly played together as children and both our folks called us "Nanny Goat" and "Billy Goat" - for obvious reasons. We always seemed to be together. Those days were part of a very happy childhood for both of us. Although the years have separated us by hundreds of miles, I treasure the memory of Nan and hope she will save a nearby place for me in heaven so that we can meet again. God Bless, Nanny Goat.
