Obituary for Maria Kozuszko (Wolan)
East Brunswick
Maria Wolan Kozuszko age 102 years, passed away Saturday November 19, 2016, at her daughter’s home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Naliboki, Poland, she had lived in East Brunswick for the past 63 years. Before her retirement, Mrs. Kozuszko was a seamstress for Brodsky and Sons in South River for 25 years. She was a communicant of Holy Trinity RC Church in Helmetta.
She is predeceased by her husband Wladyslaw, her son Romuald, her brothers Edward and Kazimiersz and her son in law Bill Matikonis.
Surviving are her daughters Hedy Matikonis, Irene Abraham and her husband Gary, her grandchildren David, Michael, Tom and Christine Matikonis, Jennifer Abraham, Matthew Abraham and his wife Kim, her niece Anna Cygan and her husband Stanley & family, her nephew Anthony Grygorcewicz & family and many other relatives, friends and neighbors who loved her.
Funeral services will be Saturday 9:15am from the Maliszewski Funeral Home 218 Whitehead Ave. South River with a 10am mass to follow at Holy Trinity RC Church in Helmetta. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in East Brunswick.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 2pm to 6pm.
