Obituary for Hardy Burlett

Hardy  Burlett
Hardy Burlett, age 85 of Parlin passed away Monday January 9, 2017 at Raritan Bay Medical Center. Born in Long Branch in 1931, to Dorothy Bennett Burlett and Frank Burlett, Hardy went on to serve his country as a 2nd Class Boilerman in the Navy from 1951-1955. Enamored by electronics, Hardy enjoyed a 38-year career at DuPont in the Boiler Room in Parlin, NJ. Hardy was an avid supporter of many causes and was a member of the American Legion Post 211 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4699. Hardy will be missed by all who knew him.
Hardy is predeceased by his beloved wife, Georgina. Hardy is survived by his children Sherry Baist, Linda Barbett, Karen Burlett, Chester Fischer, Cathy Vincent and her husband Roger Vincent Sr. , as well as his 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren along with one more great grandchild on the way. Hardy is predeceased by his sisters Betty Burlett and Barbara Burlett and is survived by his brother David Burlett.
Funeral services will be held Monday 10:00am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin, NJ follow by a burial at Clover leaf Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ.
Calling Hours will be held Sunday from 2pm to 6pm at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane Parlin, NJ.
