Obituary for Walter Balon
Walter Balon, age 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday December 8, 2018 at CentraState Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Before his retirement Walter worked for JCP&L as an electrical and instrument supervisor. He was a proud WWII veteran as well as a member of the American Legion Post 211 as well as the VFW, the Catholic War Veterans,the Holy Name Society and Holy Trinity Church Seniors Club. Walter was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and so much more. He will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife Dorothy Swentko in 1986 as well as his parents John & Sophie Balon and his seven siblings. Surviving are his much loved children and their spouses Janice & Eric Gordon and Judi & Jeff Trammell along with his adored grandchildren Ariana, Tyler, Alyssa, Katy, & Kyle and his cherished dogs Gia and Zoey.
Funeral services will be held Friday 9:15am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home 121 Main Street Sayreville followed by a 10am mass at Holy Trinity Church in Perth Amboy with burial to follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Hopelawn.
